Chatsworth, CA, January 2007 – Aitech Defense Systems, Inc, the world's first and largest independent manufacturer of board and subsystem level products for harsh environment defense, aerospace and astronautics applications, offers an environementally sealed, 2-slot 3U CompactPCI enclosure that provides exceptional flexibility and performance. In addition to its rugged environmental properties, the new compact and lightweight E192 incorporates a modular and removable power supply, making the enclosure the ideal for harsh mechanical, climatic, chemical and electrical stresses typically encountered in rigorous embedded applications.

The environmentally sealed design of the E192 protects board components from external stresses. The enclosure houses standard ANSI/IEEE 30.1-2002 conduction-cooled 3U cPCI modules. The chassis' baseplate is also conduction cooled, allowing dissipation over 50 W at 71C (160F), while maintaining a maximum of 14C (57F) difference at the card edge.

The high performance E192 features a 28 VDC power input per MIL-STD-704 with an EMI/EMC-compliant power input filter, as well as a backplane I/O transition module to easily support customized front panels designd for circular MIL-C-38999 or other connectors, increasing user flexibility.
