NEW UPGRADES TO AITECH'S C10X SERIES OF SBCs INCREASE PROCESSING POWER AND MEMORY FUNCTIONS FOR IMPROVED PERFORMANCE
Chatsworth, January 2007- Aitech Defense Systems, Inc., the world's first and largest independent manufacturer of board and subsystem level products for harsh envrionment defense, aerospace and astronautics applications, announced today that it has upgraded several aspects of the company's C10x series of 6U single-slot VME single board computers (SBCs) to provide increased processing power and onboard capabilities. The series upgrades include an increase in Flash File memory to 4GB in four Aitech products: the standard C100, the high performance C101, the low power C103 and teh C106 with PCI on the P0 connector
The new, larger memory capacity makes the SBCs especially useful in solid-state mass storage applicaations. The upgrades also enable users to easily employ newer technology without the need for extensive software redevelopment, significantly reducing upgrade and operating costs.
Technological improvements to the C10x series also inlcude a newer processor for the C100 and C101, from the PowerPC G4+ MPC7455 processor to the new MPC7457, operating at over 733MHz. In addition, the C106 has received further memory upgrades, including the expansion of the Boot Flash and User Flash to 64MB and 256MB respectively.
Aitech's C10x line of processors provide exceptional processing power and I/O functionality, making the products ideally suited to function in harsh environment applications such as mission management computers, heads-up display controllers, radar and sonar processors and advanced IED automatic protection subsystems.
