Primary Responsibilities:

The Product Marketing Manager (PMM) develops product plans by identifying potential products, markets and customers; conducting market research; generating product requirements; determining product and services specifications, production timetables, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction; and developing marketing strategies.  The PMM shall be responsible for the day-to-day product management, including internal and external promotion and marketing activities related to the assigned products and product lines. The Space PMM will establish and coordinate with the Director, Space Product Management and VP, Marketing and Business Development to craft the messaging and positioning for the products for the sales channels and business development teams and assist to create, conceive and develop innovative marketing programs that drives customer demand. 

Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical features and capabilities for Space customers into customer-related features, advantages and benefits are crucial.  The PMM will also detail, verify and maintain the product area and technology roadmaps, assist in the creation of winning customer quotations and proposals, including the creation and introduction of new product developments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining standard product development and schedules to manage the Space product line in accordance with those guidelines and directions.
  • Responsible for competitive market analysis and to assist in establishing Aitech’s market-driven pricing strategy of the product(s) and the regular maintenance and review of the price list to remain competitive.
  • Responsible for the compilation and completion of new product HLR (High Level Requirements) definitions of the market’s requirements for each new product including: cost and market price targets, time to market (market windows), design-to-manufacture and design-to-cost targets. 
  • Must work with Program Management and Engineering to coordinate either internal and/or external resources to maintain product IR&D (Internal Research and Development) schedules and allocate and maintain product development budgets.
  • Must also track and maintain future technology trends in hardware, software, firmware, related system, board and mezzanine card standards and create technology Roadmaps for the product line(s) for presentations to customers and the sales channel.
  • Provide regular inputs and guidance based on customer feedback on user documentation, proof of design documentation, product drawings, collateral material, sales training material, product photography, obsolescence management and product variant strategy and management related for the product line.
  • Responsible to work with the company’s Marketing Communications team to assist in tracking editorial calendars and communicate regularly with key industry senior editors to ensure coverage of Aitech’s Space products and services in related industry articles and coordinate this activity with the VP of Marketing and Business Development.
  • Provide regular quantitative and subjective market feedback on the product area of responsibility.
  • As a member of an integrated solutions product team, to provide guidance and direction related to market-driven technical and cost requirements related to current and future customer demand.
  • As a member of the Proposal team, assist in the development of informal and formal customer RFP, RFQ and RFI proposals related to the product line.
  • Develop and maintain the sales and marketing collateral and sales tools necessary for the long-term success of the product(s) in the marketplace.
  • Identify potential 3’rd party partnership opportunities to build partner relationships, negotiate and structure relationships and foster business partnering.
  • Coordinate third-party collaborative product development, marketing and business capture activities as appropriate.
  • Act as the product line(s) focal point for coordinating external enquiries with customers and the sales channel for all product line related issues.
  • Actively promote and partner with the Account Management/Business Development team in support of field pre-sales activities as needed
  • Assist in the Company’s sales lead generation and Marketing automation process.
  • Provide timely product forecast information with the Account Management team and for product end-of-life planning.
Minimum/Basic Job Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5-7 yrs of Engineering with a desire to move to Product Marketing
  • 3-5 years experience in embedded computing environments, ideally Aerospace and Defense related.
  • BS (or equivalent) in engineering, computer science; MBA or equivalent experience preferred
  • International travel as needed for product training and to support ROW sales, including travel to Israel 1-2 times/yr.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to build partnering relationships with customers, outsourced 3’rd party partners and internal staff, peers, and engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster cross-functional teamwork among Sales, Engineering, Operations and Marketing.

  • Assist Sr Buyer with Quotes, PO entry and expedite specified commodities from outside suppliers. Keep contact with supplier to ensure on time delivery. Identify and cost reduction opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and meet company objectives.
  • Assist proactively the Sr Buyer identifying and supporting production work order requirements to minimize production delay due to materials shortage and reduce costs. Plan purchases by reviewing materials and supply requirements from MRP reports, plan package, contracts, and change orders.
  • Obtains quotes by forwarding materials and supplies requirements to supplier; evaluating alternative materials and supplies. Places orders by negotiating price, terms, and delivery of materials and supplies. Assures detailed bid and proposal packages are maintained.
  • Resolves delivery discrepancies by comparing purchase order to delivery documentation; obtaining credits and refunds. Improves quality results by analyzing materials, supplies, and vendor reliability, Quality and service; recommending changes. Reduces costs by evaluating alternative materials and supplies; negotiating pricing and terms. Provides management planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Able to work in a development and New products environment. Ability to match requirements to supplier capabilities. Formal reporting to management and or customer team status, variances, and or problem resolution.
Recommended Experience:
  • Experience in major sub-contracts administration and outsourcing efforts preferred.
  • Experienced with ERP/MRP Systems.

Qualifications:

  • Design experience with the following Analog Interfaces: RTDs, LVDTs, Unipolar and Differential ADCs, DACs, current sensing, different types of motor controls and servos is required. Synchro-Resolver interfaces experience is plus.
  • Design experience with DC to DC power supply (10-250W), 1kW+ is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience with EMI/EMC principals and ESD and lightning protection, a plus
  • Familiar with Worst Case circuit analysis, high reliability components, failure rate calculation principles, radiation effects (SEE and TID) on semiconductors is required.

This role requires a detail-oriented, self-motivated and proactive approach in taking the initiative to develop current and seek better methods and techniques.  Strong team player and interpersonal skills are required.

Primary Responsibilities:
The Program Manager (PM) will provide management and leadership direction for the design, development, and manufacturing of Avionics hardware including Command and Data Handling (C&DH) Units and mission Computers.  These programs may be Customer defined or Internal Research and Development (IR&D) projects.  The PM shall perform the following duties: 1) Manage all activities associated with the Development, Manufacturing, and Qualification Testing for DOD & Aerospace Contracts, 2) support proposal preparation in conjunction with business development personnel, and 3) Determine program requirements, budget and program control mechanisms utilizing Earned Value Techniques to effectively track and measure results, schedules, expenditures, labor and other aspects of the program.
 
The PM acts as a primary interface between the customer, corporate team members, and partners providing regular status on achieving assigned program goals and objectives. The individual must be able to plan, organize, and manage multiple programs / projects of varying size and complexity and support the preparation of proposals in response to both commercial and government RFPs including cost, schedule, and technical inputs.  
 
Additional duties may include contract negotiations through contract award, presenting briefings to company and customer management, review and recommending process improvements for existing systems/products at Aitech, and preparation of business cases for new business.

Required Knowledge, Education, and Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience as a program, or project manager.
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Project.
  • A BS degree in a related field (Engineering discipline preferred)

Recommended Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of Military, Aerospace, and Space programs and requirements.
  • Strong Team building and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster cross-functional teamwork among Engineering, Operations and Quality.
