POSITION: Technical Support Manager
JOB LOCATION(S): Chatsworth, CA
HOURS : Full time, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
BS in Computer Science or related plus 5 years experience as technical support engineer working with embedded computer systems and VX Works Operating Systems
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
- Responsible for reporting to parent company and oversees affiliates on all technical issues related to company’s products both existing and new products developed by R&D department.
- Is the primary resource on external technical support issues (with Aitech’s customers) as well as internal technical support issues.
- Will monitor the implementation of proposed solutions by technical support team on all client hardware, software and system level issues to be resolved.
- Will oversee and monitor professional staff responding to client technical needs and report findings to upper management.
- Develops and establishes organizational procedures with Configuration Management Department to ensure updates have been incorporated into all existing and new products.
- Responsible for initiating, updating and finalizing any documentation related to company products.
- Will develop and implement policies with Quality Assurance and Customer Service departments to address failure trends and provide solutions to issues raised by company clients.
- Responsible for utilizing department’s resources to identify potential business opportunities and lead and support the pre and post sales activities.
- Directly reports to Worldwide VP of Sales & Marketing.
- Oversees the work of hardware and software engineers assigned to project from R&D department.
